WELCOME
Thank you for visiting the site that is dedicated to resolving and healing the past. Please think of our website as a loving, private place to discuss and heal unresolved, traumatic pain. Some people who are chronically unhappy may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, known as PTSD. The cause of the unhappiness and the inability to move out of it may not be apparent. In my case, the PTSD trauma came from child abuse and emotional war wounds.
My purpose in life has become clear to me since I began my recovery process for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in 1987. The priority is to share my love with others so they may grow. I am accomplishing this by writing a trilogy that I am publishing myself through Harmony Hills Press. My first book, Flying with God: Putting on a Happy Face is currently available to purchase. I began my autobiography with my childhood in WWII Germany describing not only suffering war, but also my dysfunctional family upbringing. Fortunately, my family moved to North America and I was lucky to land a career in the airlines in 1965 which lasted 38 years. My long standing career as a flight attendant provides a glimpse of airline history with a personal, humanistic perspective. I have included my view of the experience of evolving from a stewardess to a flight attendant. You will enjoy this first book which includes interesting photos and anecdotes about famous flyers. My next two books will be about how recovery from PTSD opened the door to my spiritual growth. Now…let me ask you…
Are you living in harmony?
If not, you may be stuck in a hurtful past.
Are you WILLING TO MAKE A CHANGE?
Then I would like to support you by sharing the steps that worked for me. First, Recognize your problems. Second, release the past with a recovery program that uses forgiveness, and third, replace emptiness with peace of mind, and see through God's eyes. All obstacles are opportunities to heal.
Definition of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Posttraumatic stress disorder[1][2] (post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD) is a severe anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to any event that results in psychological trauma.[3] This event may involve the threat of death to oneself or to someone else, or to one's own or someone else's physical, sexual, or psychological integrity,[1] overwhelming the individual's ability to cope. As an effect of psychological trauma, PTSD is less frequent and more enduring than the more commonly seen acute stress response.
Diagnostic symptoms for PTSD include re-experiencing the original trauma(s) through flashbacks or nightmares, avoidance of stimuli associated with the trauma, and increased arousal - such as difficulty falling or staying asleep, anger, and hypervigilance. Formal diagnostic criteria (both DSM-IV and ICD-9) require that the symptoms last more than one month and cause significant impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.[1]"
